Application

Hydrogen peroxide is an important chemical product. It has functions such as bleaching, oxidation, disinfection and sterilization. It has no by-products and does not require special treatment. It is widely used in industries such as papermaking, textiles, electronics, chemical production, and wastewater treatment in both agriculture and industry.

  • Hydrogen peroxide is used for bleaching chemical pulp, mechanical pulp (such as CTMP) and waste pulp, which can significantly enhance the whiteness of paper while avoiding the toxic by-products (such as dioxins) produced by chlorine-based bleaching. Its decomposition products are only water and oxygen, which is in line with the green manufacturing trend. During the waste paper recycling process, hydrogen peroxide can effectively separate ink particles from fibers, improving the whiteness of recycled pulp, and is the core chemical of the environmentally friendly deinking process. In modern paper mills, ECF (such as ClO₂ + H₂O₂) or TCF (using only H₂O₂, O₂, and O₃) processes are adopted, and hydrogen peroxide serves as the key reagent in the final bleaching stage, helping to achieve low COD and no AOX wastewater discharge
  • In the textile industry, hydrogen peroxide is mainly used as a strong oxidizing agent and bleaching agent, featuring environmental friendliness, high efficiency, and minimal damage to fibers. Hydrogen peroxide can effectively destroy natural dyes (such as those in cotton, linen, and wool), increase the whiteness of the fabric, and is suitable for the pre-treatment bleaching process of cotton, linen, artificial cotton, and blended fabrics. During the textile processing, it can be used for disinfecting equipment or fabrics, thereby reducing microbial contamination
  • In the precision electronics industry, hydrogen peroxide is mainly used in an electronic-grade form. Due to its extremely high purity (typically above 99.9999%, with metal ion impurities controlled at the ppb level), it becomes a crucial process chemical. Remove the organic substances, metal ions and silicides and other contaminants from the surface of the silicon wafer to ensure the high precision and yield in chip manufacturing. As an oxidizing agent in the grinding liquid, it oxidizes metals such as copper (Cu) and tungsten (W) into soluble oxides, facilitating their mechanical removal and achieving the flattening of the wafer surface. Used for precise etching of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and semiconductor devices, to control the material removal rate and the accuracy of pattern transfer; Auxiliaryly remove the remaining photoresist and the accompanying metal ion impurities to ensure the purity of the photolithography process. Applied to the cleaning and surface treatment processes in the production of electronic components such as lithium-ion batteries, it enhances performance and safety
  • Hydrogen peroxide is an efficient and environmentally friendly oxidant in wastewater treatment. It can effectively break the molecular structure of refractory organic compounds (such as phenols, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, dyes, etc.), converting them into carbon dioxide and water, or transforming them into easily biodegradable small molecules; by oxidizing chromogenic groups (such as azo bonds, conjugated double bonds), it significantly reduces the color of wastewater; at the same time, it decomposes and generates odor-causing organic sulfides, amines, and other substances; using its strong oxidizing property to kill pathogenic microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc.), it is suitable for the pre-treatment of medical wastewater or reclaimed water; it significantly enhances the oxidation capacity and is applicable to high-concentration, high-toxicity industrial wastewater (such as chemical, dyeing, and petrochemical wastewater); it can quickly form an oxidation layer to prevent pollutant diffusion, and is suitable for emergency response in sudden environmental incidents
