2-Pentylanthraquinone is an organic compound, mainly serving as the key working fluid carrier and catalyst in the production of hydrogen peroxide (bleach) through the anthraquinone method. 2-Pentylanthraquinone is the core component in the anthraquinone-based hydrogen peroxide production process. In this process, it is dissolved in an organic solvent to form a working solution, which then undergoes hydrogenation, oxidation, and extraction cycles to efficiently produce hydrogen peroxide. Compared to the commonly used 2-ethylanthraquinone, 2-pentylanthraquinone has a higher solubility in the working solution, better stability, and superior catalytic efficiency.
