KDISON Hydrogen Peroxide Technology Development: From China’s First Anthraquinone Plant to Global EPC Solutions
KDISON’s development has been driven by the long-term frontline practice and technical dedication of its founder, Mr. Qing Guangzong, throughout decades of continuous advancement and technological upgrading in the global hydrogen peroxide industry. Since the 1980s, Mr. Qing has been deeply engaged in the anthraquinone process for hydrogen peroxide production, consistently achieving breakthroughs in engineering design, industrialization, plant scale-up, and revamping. His early contributions laid a solid and profound technical foundation for the company’s later growth.

From his initial individual technical achievements to systematic R&D and international engineering capabilities after the company’s establishment, this developmental journey reflects the real trajectory of China’s anthraquinone-based hydrogen peroxide technology—from its inception to global expansion.
In 1986, Mr. Qing participated in and led the design of China’s first industrial-scale fixed-bed anthraquinone hydrogen peroxide plant (3,600 TPA). This project was a milestone at the time and represented a crucial step toward the maturation of China’s anthraquinone-based hydrogen peroxide industrialization. In 1992, he undertook the design of a 15,000 TPA hydrogen peroxide plant, then the largest in China, contributing key engineering experience for large-scale industrial applications.
Around 1994, he provided process and engineering design for several domestic hydrogen peroxide plants with capacities ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 TPA. During this period, he accumulated mature expertise in hydrogenation, oxidation, extraction, working-solution formulation, and overall plant stability. In 1996, he became Director of the Design Institute at Sinopec Baling Petrochemical’s Dongting Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant, where he led multiple systematic plant optimizations—including improving hydrogenation efficiency, enhancing working-solution regeneration and extraction systems, and eliminating operational instability—further strengthening the foundation for continued technical development.
Leveraging decades of accumulated expertise, Mr. Qing began building a corporate R&D team in 2005 and established a joint technology company to advance anthraquinone-process research. This work gradually formed a systematic technical roadmap, process improvement schemes, and patent layout.
From 2007 onward, the company collaborated closely with research institutes and engineering organizations, undertaking EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects and integrating process packages, engineering design, equipment supply, and plant commissioning into a unified capability.
In 2013, one of the company’s major proprietary technologies was successfully industrialized, marking a new stage of integration between R&D and engineering. With expanding market demand, Beijing KDISON Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2018 to further promote domestic and overseas projects, plant revamping, and technology licensing. In 2020, several key technologies received patent grants, followed by the establishment of Hunan KDISON, further enhancing the company’s technical R&D, experimental verification, and engineering systems.
With continuously strengthening technical capabilities, the company participated in international EPC bidding for the first time in 2021, competing alongside multiple global engineering firms and successfully winning several overseas hydrogen peroxide plant projects—marking a significant step in the internationalization of its technical capabilities.Subsequently, in 2022, KDISON’s Guizhou manufacturing and R&D base began operation. The facility undertakes equipment fabrication, modular prefabrication, experimental research, and engineering support, further advancing the company’s integrated project delivery capabilities.
By 2025, Mr. Qing and his team had provided complete technology packages, process design, engineering services, equipment supply, debottlenecking and expansion solutions, and EPC contracting for more than forty hydrogen peroxide plants with capacities ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 TPA. Over the years, the company has established a comprehensive system encompassing R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and international project delivery, continuously providing high-stability, high-safety, and high-efficiency hydrogen peroxide solutions for clients worldwide.
KDISON will continue to advance process innovation and contribute to the development of the global hydrogen peroxide industry, building upon its accumulated technical and engineering experience
