Kdison Successfully Delivers 100,000 t/y Hydrogen Peroxide Plant Overseas, Significantly Reducing Investment Costs through an Innovative Reuse Solution

As one of Kdison’s major international projects successfully implemented in 2025, the company completed and delivered a hydrogen peroxide production plant with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year (calculated as 27.5% concentration)  for an overseas client. Centered on optimizing the client’s operating and capital costs, the project adopted an engineering solution combining reuse of existing equipment with the rational configuration of new equipment. Equipment shipment was successfully completed in May 2025, with the entire plant delivered to the client’s destination port, earning high recognition from the customer.

During the project planning stage, Kdison fully considered the client’s investment budget and actual operational requirements. After conducting a comprehensive technical assessment of a decommissioned hydrogen peroxide plant in China, Kdison dismantled, refurbished, and reused key equipment that remained in good condition, technologically mature, and suitable for continued service, including the hydrogenation tower, oxidation tower, and extraction columns. At the same time, equipment and components that were aged, damaged, or no longer compliant with current operational requirements were replaced with new units. These new components were systematically integrated with the reusable equipment, resulting in the reassembly and delivery of a complete and sustainable hydrogen peroxide production line.

Through the professional selection and reuse of second-hand equipment, the project significantly reduced the client’s upfront capital investment while ensuring process reliability and operational safety. This approach avoided the substantial costs associated with purchasing an entirely new production line and demonstrated Kdison’s capability to deliver economically driven solutions in the field of hydrogen peroxide engineering.

During project execution, Kdison faced highly complex challenges related to dismantling and logistics coordination. The dismantling and lifting of large-scale equipment required specialized expertise, and certain units, due to excessive weight and dimensions, necessitated the deployment of large professional lifting equipment. Road transportation had to be carefully planned in strict compliance with national regulations on load limits and dimensional restrictions.

From the original plant site, the equipment was first transported to the nearest inland river port, where additional challenges related to port operating conditions, cargo consolidation, and temporary storage capacity had to be addressed. The equipment was then transferred to the Shanghai departure port and finally shipped to the destination port overseas  under a full vessel charter arrangement. The process involved multiple operational stages, high organizational complexity, and extensive coordination, placing stringent demands on project management and supply-chain integration capabilities.

Leveraging its extensive project experience and mature engineering management capabilities, the Kdison team efficiently coordinated resources across dismantling, lifting, inland transportation, port operations, and marine logistics. Despite numerous technical and logistical challenges, the project equipment was delivered safely, intact, and on schedule. The successful implementation and delivery of this project fully demonstrate Kdison’s comprehensive strength in hydrogen peroxide EPC projects, brownfield asset reuse, and complex cross-border logistics management, and its professional service capabilities were highly praised by the client.
